Scenario-Based Investigation on the Effect of Partial Shading Condition Patterns for Different Static Solar Photovoltaic Array Configurations

This paper presents an in-depth analysis and investigation on the performance of static photovoltaic (PV) array configurations subjected to various partial shading conditions (PSCs). Under PSCs, electrical characteristics PV modules are critically monitored reasons for their behavioral changes highlighted. By doing so, this study aims improve efficiency systems by minimizing mismatch losses determining optimum configuration which is characterized highest maximum power lowest relative under PSCs. Besides, complements carries forward previous studies through detailed each practically probable Three different sizes ( $5\times4$ , notation="LaTeX">$5\times5$ notation="LaTeX">$3\times10$ ) used analyze results considered scenarios. MATLAB/Simulink platform model simulate using single diode (5-parameters) model. In-depth current flow across cross-ties bypass diodes activation shows that diagonal pattern leads lower loss (PL). Total Cross-Tied (TCT) demonstrates superior most PSCs compared other configurations. These provide valuable information about may lead better estimation prediction global (GMP) generation a system.
